"Unidentifiable Cyber Attack On Hacking Team"

Marcus EdmondComment

Recently, unidentified attackers breached an Italian company called Hacking Team that sells spyware to governments and other organizations.

As details continue to emerge surrounding the breach, we've compiled what you should know to help you stay safe.

Spyware is a kind of targeted malware on both PCs and mobile devices that collects a broad amount of data about a person or organization without their knowledge. It then sends this data to the attacker(s) who typically gather that data for the purpose of espionage (spying) or criminal/financial gain.

Does Lookout protect against this? Yes, Lookout's customers, on both Android and iOS platforms, are protected from all current forms of Hacking Team spyware products.

Why should you care? Mobile devices store and access a huge amount of data, and that data is extremely valuable. By keeping yourself protected, you can stay ahead of threats and safeguard your security and privacy.

This kind of targeted malware can get on your device in 2 ways: 1. An attacker gains physical access to your device. 2. An attacker tricks you into downloading an app via an email, SMS, or other message. How can you protect yourself? • Keep a passcode on your phone. A lot of spyware sold on the market requires that the attacker have physical access to the target device to install this software. Putting a passcode on your phone makes it that much harder for them. • Don't download apps from untrusted third party marketplaces or links online. Spyware can be distributed through all of these means. Only download from official and vetted marketplaces such as the Apple App Store and Google Play. • Don't jailbreak your device unless you really know what you're doing. Because jailbroken iOS devices are inherently less protected, they are more vulnerable to attack when security protection measures aren't properly enabled. • Lookout stops attacks before they do harm, so check in to the Lookout app to make sure everything is OK. Sec. 102. Policy. The United States must have an industrial and technological base capable of meeting national defense requirements and capable of contributing to the technological superiority of its national defense equipment in peacetime and in times of national emergency. The domestic industrial and technological base is the foundation for national defense preparedness. The authorities provided in the Act shall be used to strengthen this base and to ensure it is capable of responding to the national defense needs of the United States.

Sec. 103. General Functions. Executive departments and agencies (agencies) responsible for plans and programs relating to national defense (as defined in section 801(j) of this order), or for resources and services needed to support such plans and programs, shall:

(a) identify requirements for the full spectrum of emergencies, including essential military and civilian demand;

(b) assess on an ongoing basis the capability of the domestic industrial and technological base to satisfy requirements in peacetime and times of national emergency, specifically evaluating the availability of the most critical resource and production sources, including subcontractors and suppliers, materials, skilled labor, and professional and technical personnel;

(c) be prepared, in the event of a potential threat to the security of the United States, to take actions necessary to ensure the availability of adequate resources and production capability, including services and critical technology, for national defense requirements;

(d) improve the efficiency and responsiveness of the domestic industrial base to support national defense requirements; and

(e) foster cooperation between the defense and commercial sectors for research and development and for acquisition of materials, services, components, and equipment to enhance industrial base efficiency and responsiveness.

Sec. 104. Implementation. (a) The National Security Council and Homeland Security Council, in conjunction with the National Economic Council, shall serve as the integrated policymaking forum for consideration and formulation of national defense resource preparedness policy and shall make recommendations to the President on the use of authorities under the Act.

(b) The Secretary of Homeland Security shall:

(1) advise the President on issues of national defense resource preparedness and on the use of the authorities and functions delegated by this order;

(2) provide for the central coordination of the plans and programs incident to authorities and functions delegated under this order, and provide guidance to agencies assigned functions under this order, developed in consultation with such agencies; and

(3) report to the President periodically concerning all program activities conducted pursuant to this order.

SUPREME COURT RULED 5-TO-4 VOTE: NOW ALL 50 STATES MUST recognized 6/27/2015

Human HealthDenim SouthComment

Supreme Court ruled by a 5-to-4 vote on Friday that the Constitution guarantees a right to same-sex marriage.

“No longer may this liberty be denied,” Justice Anthony M. Kennedy wrote for the majority in the historic decision. “No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were.”

Marriage is a “keystone of our social order,” Justice Kennedy said, adding that the plaintiffs in the case were seeking “equal dignity in the eyes of the law.”

WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE= X-Rated TRIANGLE Alleged Messages Between Founder And Staff at "AMERICAN APPAREL'S"

Human HealthMarcus EdmondComment

WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: In a court filing,* American Apparel’s* chair provided explicit details allegedly uncovered during an investigation into the company’s ousted founder. WARNING: Graphic language. LAWYER'S FOR American Apparel has submitted a trove of serious and often SAYING AMERICAN APPAREL allegations against ex-CEO and founder Dov Charney, in response to a defamation lawsuit Charney brought against the company and its chair last month. In a lengthy declaration filed late last week, Colleen Brown, who chairs American Apparel’s board and is a member of the* “Suitability Committee”* that investigated and eventually fired Charney last year, alleged the ex-CEO used company devices to send sexually explicit texts and emails to employees. AND THESE MESSAGES GOES LIKE THIS! WOW!!! “Daddy is so excited to play with the most little tiny blonde cum kitten in the whole school,” one message allegedly read. Another:* “Should I unload my cock now??? Like a filthy pig?”* The filing is the most detailed insight American Apparel has given into its investigation into Charney, which began after he was served with a surprise termination letter in June. The inclusion of such explicit messages, and allegations of sexual antics taking place between Charney and American Apparel’s models and employees, is another escalation of the long-running war of words between the ousted founder and the company’s new management. SO PPL AT THE END OF THE DAY WHAT HAPPEN? lIKE I TELL MY BRETHREN PPL DON'T CHANGE ONLY THE ILLUSION AND BUILDING AROUND THEM...
